Glamping site redesign
FDomes (Case study)
Glamping
Website Redesign and Development
June 2025

✨ Introduction This project was a self-initiated redesign of FDomes.com, a company specializing in modular dome structures for events, resorts, and glamping setups. I wanted to challenge myself with a commercial SaaS-style redesign — focusing on structure, conversion optimization, and clean UI, all built in Framer. This became an ideal case study to showcase my approach to designing for product-driven businesses.
🎯 Project Goals
The goal of this redesign was to:
Improve the clarity of FDomes' product offerings
Organize the layout to guide users toward inquiries or purchases
Maintain brand professionalism while making the site more modern, responsive, and user-friendly
Deliver a functional and scalable design, ideal for a marketing-focused commercial website
🧩 My Process
1. Competitive Research
I studied commercial architecture and outdoor lifestyle sites to understand how they structure value propositions, visual hierarchy, and call-to-actions.
2. Wireframing for Conversion
I mapped out a clean landing page with:
Clear product categories
Testimonials or use cases
Visual hierarchy: Hero → Features → CTA → Footer
3. UI & Brand Choices
Fonts: Geometric sans-serif fonts for a bold, clean tone
Color palette: White background with black + earthy accents to reflect outdoor branding
CTAs: Strategically placed after every key block
Imagery: High-contrast product photos framed with padding and shadows to make them pop
4. Framer Build
Fully responsive layout with mobile/tablet versions
Animations for image reveals, hover states, and button interactions
Structured with components to be easily reused or scaled
Internal links for potential multi-page expansion

📸 Key Features
Clean Hero Section with value proposition and CTA
Feature Grid showcasing dome types and use cases
Modular Layout: Easily adaptable for marketing campaigns or product pages
Responsive UX: Maintains elegance across breakpoints
Framer Smart Components: Used for buttons, headers, and image cards
🧠 What I Learned
This project helped me sharpen my understanding of UX for conversion-driven websites, especially in the commercial and B2B space.
It also strengthened my process of building reusable design systems inside Framer — an essential step in working efficiently with marketing and product teams.
