July 2025

A responsive, immersive portfolio for internationally recognized generative artist Viktoria Blank, built entirely in Framer. The site showcases her surreal art, current exhibitions, press features, and invites collaborations — all while reflecting her visual philosophy. When I was approached with the opportunity to design and develop a portfolio for Viktoria Blank, an internationally recognized generative artist, I knew this project would require more than a clean layout — it needed to evoke emotion, reflect artistic energy, and deliver a seamless digital experience. This case study explores how I approached the challenge, designed with intention, and built the site entirely in Framer, blending UX clarity with surreal visual storytelling.
The primary goal was to create a modern, immersive portfolio that:
Reflected Viktoria’s unique artistic voice
Highlighted her current and upcoming exhibitions
Made her generative art easily viewable on desktop and mobile
Included a space for media, collaborations, and newsletter signups

🧩 My Process
1. Understanding the Artist’s Vision
I started by reviewing Viktoria’s body of work and exhibition tone. Her visuals lean toward surreal dreamscapes, so the site needed to feel fluid, elegant, and minimal — without losing her boldness.
2. Wireframing & Structure
I designed a clean homepage structure using Framer’s layout tools, focusing on:
Hero section with motion embed (Spline 3D)
Scroll-based exhibition showcase
Modular blocks for gallery, press, and contact
3. Design Decisions
Typography: Used modern, airy fonts to balance art-heavy visuals
Color Palette: Black, white, and light neutrals to avoid overpowering her work
Motion: Subtle transitions to keep the experience soft and immersive
Mobile-first thinking: Every section designed responsively from the start
4. Development in Framer
Smart components for navigation and exhibition blocks
Embedded Spline hero animation
Optimized for load speed and SEO
Integrated newsletter signup and contact CTAs
📸 Key Features
Hero with 3D Embed: Visitors are welcomed with a light, floating 3D visual paired with Viktoria’s headline
Exhibition Grid: Future and past shows organized with hover effects and details
Gallery Lightbox: Click-to-view immersive art experience
Artist Statement: Cleanly integrated alongside press mentions
Newsletter Signup: For direct connection with fans and curators
🧠 What I Learned
This project taught me the importance of designing with emotion, not just function. I focused not only on usability, but also on the mood — using layout, animation, and pacing to shape how visitors feel while browsing.
It also pushed me deeper into Framer as a complete no-code solution for high-end creative websites.
